Repairs
At Capital City Luggage where we began as a repair center servicing mainly the airline industry, we have grown to become the largest independent sales and service luggage and leather goods business, in the nation's capital.
In our modern repair center we repair; Luggage, Briefcases, Attaché Cases, Backpacks, Handbags, Trunks and Virtually any other carrying case new and old. If you want to know how much before the job gets done, bring in the item to be repaired and we'll give you a free verbal quote.
The way a repair works:
- Airline Damage (most air carriers): Bring the bag in to our store with the Damage Claim that you receive from the airline you traveled with. Make sure the claim is not expired. We will fix the bag according to what is written for us to fix on the Damage Claim. We only replace the bag it is deemed beyond repair and approved by the airline. This is not in most cases.
- Warranty: to claim a warranty, you will need two things; the bag, and original receipt (which must be legible with date of purchase, price paid, and style number of bag). We do warranty work for any and every company of product that we sell or can get parts for (where parts are needed). We will take care of the rest of the paperwork for you, and you may only be charged shipping where shipping is needed. You will not pay out of pocket for repair work if under the warranty.
- Comprehensive Warranty: Briggs & Riley (Lifetime), Pathfinder Revolution (10 years), Swiss Army (1 year), Travel Pro Platinum (Lifetime), Tumi (1 year), Eagle Creek ES Series (Lifetime). You will not pay out of pocket for repair work done to your bag.
- General Repairs: Bring it in! We repair pull handles, carry handles, wheels, zipper pulls, sew almost anything, clasps, straps, locks, Rivets, Patches, and anything else you can think of.
