I feel like the best kept secret in the luggage industry is these compression packing cubes. Eagle creek and Lewis N Clark are a few companies that I have seen that make them, but I’m certain that every company will switch over from making regular old packing cubes to a compression cube… You’ll see why.
No word of a lie, one cube will hold a week worth of clothing (large size). Don’t believe me? You are not alone. I won’t take you through packing for an entire week, but let me show you how simple it can be to pack 3 pairs of pants.
I myself am only a women’s size small, so for this I will instead use men’s 38 pants. This way there will be no doubt that it can be done.
I find rolling the pants to be the most efficient use of space inside a suitcase, but you can choose to fold or just toss them in.
Okay now, as you can see there was actually extra space in the bag even after the pants were compressed, so I added two pairs of size 40 men’s pants!
I measured the pile of rolled up pants and the pants after they were squished in the bag and it’s about half the height! So really, if you wanted to use these bags you would be able to get almost 50% more. Closed it measures just over 4 inches high, and it’s almost twice that when I unzipped the bag and carefully pulled the rolled up pants out.
When you arrive at your destination you may want a steamer, because depending on the material, they could be pretty darn wrinkled.
